pours everything they learned in the 6 years they spent living in a van
into these songs. They toy with structure and time signatures the way a
toddler plays with anything he or she can get it's hands on. The sound is
somehow wise but not jaded, emotional but not trite, energetic but not
fast. For those of us that where around when emotional music actually
meant just that, this EP will be a nostalgic trip down memory lane. For
those that don't remember, take our word for it - emotional music doesn't
mean sugar coated, hypo-glossy candy for jocks. It means a band has poured
everything it knows, everything it breathes and everything it lives into
itself.
"...original, extraordinary musical arrangements"
- Punk Planet
"No band or musician has ever captured the evolution and strain from adolescence to adulthood quite like the whispering torrent which has gradually been put forth by Vancouver's d.b.s..... wonderfully sad final work. They will be sorely missed." - Punk Rock Reviews
"These final five songs exemplify the introspective inspiration they wove into their music so well. It's a shame to see them go." - Exclaim
